UM-Flint and Flint Community Schools Establish Dual Enrollment Educational Partnership (DEEP) Program

Flint Community Schools (FCS) and the University of Michigan-Flint are collaborating to offer a cost-free dual enrollment opportunity for FCS high school seniors. The Dual Enrollment Educational Partnerships (DEEP) initiative allows motivated Flint high school students to earn college credit by taking accredited courses taught by UM‐Flint faculty on the university's campus.

UM-Flint Partners with Grand Blanc High School to Launch the Grand Blanc Early College

The Grand Blanc Community Schools in partnership with the University of Michigan-Flint will launch the Grand Blanc Early College in fall 2015. Designed to prepare motivated students for the rigors of higher education, the Grand Blanc Early College will allow students to earn college credit as they attend high school.

UM-Flint Professor of Physical Therapy Partners with Area High Schools on Concussion Research and Awareness

University of Michigan-Flint assistant professor of physical therapy Bara Alsalaheen, PhD is spearheading concussion research in the area. So far, Alsalaheen and his team have worked with four area high schools but he hopes to extend the network of participants in upcoming years.
