New Agreement Creates Seamless Transition to UM-Flint for Mott Community College Early Childhood Education Students
The University of Michigan-Flint and Mott Community College (MCC) have created an Early Childhood Articulation Agreement between the two schools. It was recently signed at an October 1 ceremony. The agreement aims to ease the transfer from MCC's early childhood program to UM-Flint for students seeking an elementary teacher certification and a specialization endorsement in early childhood.
UM-Flint Pre-Med Student Uses Art to Overcome Health Issues and Help Others
Third-year biology student Melyssa Secor has created art throughout her life for enjoyment but also to ward off the stress from her medical challenges. Now, two of her paintings will be auctioned off this fall to help families of pediatric heart patients. The University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital Congenital Heart Center will showcase and sell artwork from patients and family members November 15, including two pieces by Secor.
Touch-A-Truck 2014: Family Fun Featuring "Driving & Flying" Vehicles on the UM-Flint Campus

The University of Michigan-Flint has achieved historically high enrollment for the eighth consecutive year. Enrollment for fall 2014 at the University of Michigan-Flint now approaches 8,600 with 8,574 students, up from 8555 students attending in 2013. Significant enrollment growth occurred in the areas of graduate, international, and dual enrollment.

The student-led magazine, which comes out bi-annually, is taking submissions for its next edition through October 6. Editor-In-Chief Stacie Scherman said the publication is ramping up its efforts to let the public know that anyone can submit work.
