May 2010 Commencement Speaker
What Gary Lipe learned in his 44 year career as an educator is that there is a lot of validity in the axiom "that which gets measured gets done."
The first year of his career-1962- was spent in the Flint Community Schools as an elementary teacher. In 1963, Lipe moved to Grand Blanc Schools where he would serve as a counselor, middle school administrator, assistant superintendent for curriculum, and in 1992, he was named superintendent until his retirement in 2006.
Lipe will be the Commencement Speaker at the Sunday, May 2, 2010 ceremony at Perani Arena and Event Center. The program starts at 2:30 p.m.
