New Scholarship Helps UM-Flint and Kettering University Students Pursue Careers in Medicine at MSU College of Human Medicine
Through a major gift from a Flint couple, a new scholarship is now available to premedical students at the University of Michigan-Flint and Kettering University who are accepted into Michigan State University College of Human Medicine through MSU's Early Assurance Program.

UM-Flint Chancellor Appointed to Hurley Board of Managers
University of Michigan-Flint Chancellor Susan E. Borrego has been appointed to serve on the Hurley Board of Managers. According to a city news release, Borrego's term runs through 2015, and she can then be reappointed for a full five-year term.
UM-Flint Urban Alternatives House Awarded for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) developed the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program, commonly known as LEED, as a rating system to measure the quality and sustainability of buildings. UM-Flint's Urban Alternatives House was developed using LEED for guidelines.
The University of Michigan-Flint Opens New Intercultural Center
The University of Michigan-Flint has a new Intercultural Center (ICC) located in the former Ontario Room in the University Center. The ICC is under the direction of the Department of Student Involvement and Leadership.
