An estimated 20-thousand thousand T-shirts will soon be delivered to Haiti. UM-Flint School of Health Professions and Studies, Leadership Genesee, Crim Fitness Foundation, Hurley Medical Center, and the American Cancer Society joined forces to gather the T-shirts following the earthquake in Haiti.

The T-shirts were stored in two locations on campus until a way of getting them to Haiti could be found.  That problem was solved when the relief organization Medishare for Haiti agreed to ship them with their items. However, the T-shirts had to be shipped to Miami. A couple from Burton, Dallas and Kay Fisher were heading to Orlando, Fl. with their 38 ft. trailer and volunteered to haul the T-shirts to Miami.  A physical therapy class had just ended while the trailer was being filled, and the students jumped in to make quick work of the job.

Many of the T-shirts were donated by Lansing-based Two Men and a Truck. Others came from local organizations, including the Crim Fitness Foundation.
