UM-Flint collects nine Intelligent.com program rankings, named one of the state's Best Online Colleges

UM-Flint earned three top ten programmatic rankings and was recognized as one of the state's best online universities by Intelligent.com.

Intelligent.com has recognized the University of Michigan-Flint in nine categories of its 2024 rankings of the top online programs in the U.S.

According to its website, Intelligent.com provides "unbiased research to help students make informed decisions about higher education programs. The website offers curated guides with the best degree programs and information about financial aid, internships, and study strategies. Intelligent.com is a trusted source among students and prospective students with comprehensive, user-friendly guides and hundreds of program rankings."

UM-Flint garnered a trio of top 10 rankings on the lists for Best Online Bachelor's in Music Degree Programs (No. 7), Best Online Doctorate In Physical Therapy Degree Programs (No. 9) and Best Online Finance Degree Programs (No. 10), beating out large state flagship universities, including Rutgers University, Washington State University and the University of Massachusetts.

Intelligent.com researchers identified the best programs in the nation based on flexibility, faculty, course strength, cost and reputation. They used a methodology that ranked each program on a scale from 0 to 100 across five categories: program strength, student readiness, return on investment, cost and student engagement.

The university was ranked No. 12 among the state's best online colleges. Intelligent.com's institutional rankings use an exclusive methodology to rank each institution on a scale from 0 to 100 across six categories. Evaluations are based on quantitative measures such as academic quality, graduation rate, cost and ROI, and student resources.

UM-Flint offers a variety of fully online degree options, including 16 bachelor's degrees, 11 master's degrees, two doctoral degrees, and 23 certificate programs.

The university also offers four online bachelor's degree completion programs including an accelerated online degree completion program, in addition to applied science, nursing (RN to BSN), and respiratory therapy (RT to BSR).

Recent studies show that holders of bachelor's degrees earn 75% more than those with just a high school diploma. Moreover, earnings ascend with educational attainment, showcasing a progressively larger payoff: completing college positions allows individuals to earn a median lifetime income of $2.8 million, a significant leap from the $1.6 million median for those limited to a high school diploma.
