Tendaji Ganges, the former Executive Director of Educational Opportunity Initiatives (EOI) at the University of Michigan-Flint, passed away on Friday, April 17.
For nearly 20 years, Tendaji oversaw the work of EOI here at the university. He was a mentor and friend to many students and colleagues. Well-known in the community, Tendaji served on numerous boards and committees locally as well as nationally. He was a member of the board of trustees at Antioch College, a member of the board of directors at the Urban League of Flint, and he was the former president of the Mid America Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel.
Tendaji received his bachelor of arts degree in education from Antioch College, and earned a master’s degree in student personnel services and counseling from Kean University.
