UM-Flint's College of Innovation & Technology partnered with the Michigan High School Esports Federation to host the fall 2025 state finals, Dec. 13, at the university's Murchie Science Building. More than 120 teams and 350 players from 70-plus schools throughout the state participated, with 11 champions crowned in games that included Rocket League, Marvel Rivals, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Crews, Mario Kart 8, and others. UM-Flint was selected by MiHSEF to host tournaments through 2028.
