The University of Michigan's Symphony Band made a stop at the University of Michigan-Flint, May 8, as part of its 2025 "State of the Arts" tour. The tour will take the band across the state to engage local communities, connect with high school students and educators, and showcase the university's world-class performing arts programs. Joining the ensemble for its Flint performance was the UM-Flint Wind Symphony under the direction of Doug Burtch, assistant professor of music—photos by Jake Cessna, Office of Marketing and Communications.
