UM-Flint offers a variety of hands-on summer camp programs for students interested in nursing, music, and more.

Summer is just around the corner, and while many students are looking forward to relaxing days by the pool, others are excited to make the most of their free time by learning and experiencing topics they are really passionate about. Perhaps a budding entrepreneur is excited to learn what it actually takes to start a business. Maybe a future soccer star is eager to hone their skills. An aspiring health care professional might be interested in what field is right for them, while a music aficionado is ready to create with like-minded artists.

The University of Michigan-Flint is hosting a full suite of summer camps offering these opportunities and more. Led by UM-Flint's dedicated staff and expert faculty, these exciting K-12 camps are a great way to make the most of your vacation. Participants can expect to explore career opportunities, develop hands-on skills, and meet new people who share a passion for learning. These camps are affordable and registrants may be eligible for financial support. "UM-Flint prides itself on offering a world-class education at a reasonable price and that same approach applies to our summer programming," said Laura Martin, program manager for K-12 partnerships. "We try to make these camps as affordable as possible while creating a fun learning experience for students."

Each camp will provide participants with hands-on experience with their passion of choice while they make new connections and learn more about university life.

Many people who come to this camp don't realize all the different health care areas and majors that UM-Flint offers, so this is a great opportunity for them to explore their options."
