Business Professor Remembered for Dedication to UM-Flint
Dennis Ellis, Professor Emeritus of Business Economics, died Wednesday, December 9, 2020. He was 80 years old.
Ellis was a Professor of Economics and Business Statistics. He was an active researcher, publishing multiple articles and two books: A Managerial Guide to Business Forecasting and Business Cycles and Forecasting. He was a contributing editor of the Journal of Business Forecasting and on the Board of Directors of International Association of Business Forecasting.
On January 1, 2003, Ellis retired from UM-Flint. He continued teaching occasionally through Fall 2015, focusing on such courses as business conditions analysis in the BBA program and the managerial economics courses in the MBA program.
Ellis received his Bachelor of Science degree from Alma College, his Bachelor of Science and Arts degree from the University of Detroit, his Master's and Doctorate degrees from Wayne State University.
