The Campus News Digest (CND) features announcements, news, and event updates relevant to the UM-Flint campus. The CND publishes every two weeks in the UM-Flint NOW newsletter coordinated by University Communications & Marketing (UCOM).

OEL develops new semester checklist for faculty

The Office of Extended Learning has developed a "new semester checklist" to help faculty prepare for the upcoming Spring and Summer semesters. Included are 'how to's' on topics such as course copy and course combine, with tips on updating a class and additional resources.

[IN] offering free virtual hours each week

The Innovation Incubator [IN] at UM-Flint is holding a free, virtual open office hour each week on Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Registration is required.

Admissions webinars taking place virtually

Even though COVID-19 has made it more difficult for prospective students to visit UM-Flint, several offices across campus are holding webinars to help answer questions about UM-Flint, next steps in the admissions process, and other helpful tips on both undergraduate and graduate admissions.

OEL remote workshops

To support social distancing, OEL continues to offer the following workshops via BlueJeans. Please register and use the links below to join each workshop remotely. Additional workshops will be updated regularly on OEL's workshop page based on feedback and need. Workshops include Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, Respondus Lock-down Browser & Respondus Monitor, Delivering Tests in Blackboard, Blackboard Basics, Presenting Online, and Course Structures.

Fitness and Rec opportunities from the Rec Center

If you're looking for some motivation or something fun to do during this quarantine period, check out the rec center webpage. There are daily workouts, exercise demos, and live fitness classes available through Facebook or Zoom, and also online gaming, trivia and meditation options.
