A man in a suit sits at a table, while a woman in a trench coat and hat stands nearby, appearing surprised or concerned.

The stage is set for a little mystery, unexpected romance and plenty of dark humor as UM-Flint’s Theatre & Dance Program opens its 2026-27 season with “Dead Man’s Cellphone.” Written by Sarah Ruhl and directed by William Irwin, the comedy follows a woman whose decision to answer a deceased stranger’s ringing phone pulls her into a tangled web of secrets, relationships and unexpected connections. Take a sneak peek at the cast in action during dress rehearsal before the curtain rises Oct. 16. Performances continue through Oct. 25 at the UM-Flint Theatre.
