Last week UM-Flint hosted the first of two campuswide town halls regarding its next chancellor. The chancellor search advisory committee, including President Mark Schlissel, met for 90 minutes with students, faculty and staff to get specific opinions and suggestions regarding the desired qualities and experience needed for the new chancellor.

The second and final campuswide town hall will take place Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the UCEN Kiva Auditorium. The entire campus is encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to give direct input to search committee members regarding this important process.

In addition to these town halls, the committee will meet with specific groups across campus to solicit additional feedback. For campus members who cannot attend one of these meetings, they are encouraged to send ideas and comments, including nominations, to search committee members at: [email protected].

More information about the search, including the full search advisory committee roster and how to submit nominations and applications, is available on the search advisory committee page.
