This upcoming Saturday, July 14, the University of Michigan-Flint will serve as one of the many attractions in downtown as part of the Flint Genesee County Chamber of Commerce's Be a Tourist in Your Hometown event.

A $1 passport grants you access to visit more than 40 participating Flint and Genesee County destinations and attractions with complimentary transportation.

UM-Flint students, staff and faculty are encouraged to join the entire community between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to learn more about the many exciting venues and activities offered around the Flint and Genesee County region.

"Our community has so many interesting things to do and see," said University of Michigan-Flint Chancellor Susan E. Borrego. "This is an excellent opportunity to rediscover a favorite destination or experience something new. I encourage our students, faculty, staff, and alumni to join in Saturday's entertaining and educational activities."

Those purchasing a passport in advance will have the chance to win two tickets to the Ally Challenge PGA event taking place at Warwick Hills this September.
