New Space for Cycle Parking

The high gas prices could soon mean more University of Michigan-Flint students using alternative transportation like motorcycles. Despite their size, each bike uses a full space in campus parking lots.

It was student Steven Mlejnek who noticed that two spaces in Lot P, located in front of the William S. White Building, were still designated for the former WFUM TV vehicles, and could  be used to park motorcycles instead.

Facilities Manager Joel Ellis said the old signs were removed, and new ones designating the area for motorcycles only were installed.  The spaces were re-marked to accommodate up to four bikes. Students using the new parking area must have a parking pass.
