It is that time of year. UM-Flint is gearing up to staff the water station at the Crim Festival of Races and your help is needed.

You are invited to join the crew on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the one-mile mark for both the 10-mile wheelchair and 10-mile road race. All campus community, alumni, and families etc. are invited to participate in one of the city's largest and most successful events.

Breakfast will be provided, and volunteers will receive a free Crim t-shirt while supplies last. This is also a great way for students to earn volunteering points.

Volunteers will need to arrive at the UM-Flint Recreation Center at 5:45 a.m. for set-up because city streets around campus will be closed at 6 a.m.

After the water is handed out, volunteers are asked to stay for clean-up that is usually complete by about 8:30 a.m.

If you are interested in participating in the water station, please contact Pam Zemore at 810-424-5485 or by email at [email protected].

In addition, the one-mile race known as The Michigan Mile will take place on the UM-Flint campus.  Please join your fellow UM-Flint students, faculty, and staff for this event!  To register for the race, go to www.crim.org.
