Regents Approve 2008 Housing Rates

The University of Michigan Board of Regents has unanimously approved rates for the first residence hall on the University of Michigan-Flint campus. The rates are competitive with other public universities in Michigan.

The University of Michigan Board of Regents has unanimously approved rates for the first residence hall on the University of Michigan-Flint campus. The rates are competitive with other public universities in Michigan.


The residence hall rates for the 2008-2009 academic year per occupant are:

  • 4-Bedroom, single occupancy $5,300
  • 2-Bedroom, double occupancy $4,200

The rates do not include board. The University is working to offer a meal option for students, and that information will be announced at a later date

The first University of Michigan-Flint residence hall is under construction, and is scheduled to open in August 2008. Located at the corner of Chavez and First streets in Downtown Flint, the 310 bed facility offers suite-style units.
