Remembering Dr. Loretta Dauwe
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 26 in honor of the late Chair of the Computer Science, Engineering Science and Physics Department, Dr. Loretta Dauwe.
The service will begin at 3 p.m. in the University of Michigan-Flint Theatre. A tree will be planted on campus in her memory.

Two Renowned Writers Coming to UM-Flint
Each year, The Myron and Margaret Winegarden Visiting Professorship brings individuals of national and international reputation to the University of Michigan-Flint campus. This year, Tariq Ali and Christopher Paul Curtis will teach and/or interact with classes, participate in meetings with students and faculty, conduct lectures for students, faculty, staff and the community.

Michigan Times Wins Nine Michigan Press Association Awards
The student newspaper of the University of Michigan-Flint recently won nine Michigan Press Association Awards. Student journalists from across the state competed in the Michigan Press Association College Newspaper contest, giving them the chance to gain recognition for their best work.
