If you are looking for a job, want a better job, or are planning on re-entering the labor force you need to make sure that your resume is the best that it can be. The University of Michigan-Flint invites you to a FREE workshop where you will learn "How to Write A Winning Resume." It will take place Saturday, September 27, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Happenings Room on the UM-Flint campus.

Reservations are required because there are only 150 available seats.

The workshop presented by English Professor and Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences Bob Barnett, will cover everything from organizing the information to formatting to selling yourself through how you present your work experience and education. What the older worker needs to know will also be covered. Participants are being asked to bring a copy of their resumes if they have one.

Barnett is the co-author of a book covering resume and cover letter writing. A small army of volunteers is being assembled to do breakout sessions after the main presentation; they will work with 5-10 participants and give each person's resume some personal attention.

Faculty, staff, and tutors from UM-Flint and faculty from Mott Community College will assist with the small group sessions.
