UM-Flint ECDC Earns National Accreditation-among First in Nation to Complete More Rigorous Accreditation
The University of Michigan-Flint's Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC) has earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) – the nation's leading organization of early childhood professionals. The Wall Street Journal, in an article on child care facilities reported, "The primary gauge of quality has been the accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children… whose seal of approval is regarded as the gold standard by parents, educators and facilities."

In honor of the recently held Learn & Serve Challenge, Michigan Campus Compact (MCC) has announced that the University of Michigan-Flint is a recipient of one of the new Campus Engagement Fellowship (C.E. Fellows) grant program.

be worth even more. Find out why from Jonathan Schroeder, Chaired Professor of Marketing at the University of Exeter Business School, England. He will be the guest speaker at the University of Michigan-Flint on October 30. Schroeder is a guest of the Student Communications Association and will deliver his presentation at 12:30 p.m. in the Michigan Rooms of University Center. Because of the interest in Schroeder's research, the event is open to the public. -
A Closer Look at the "Last Lecture" at UM-Flint
Jeffrey Zaslow, co-author along with Randy Pausch,
of the bestselling book The Last Lecture, will
meet with and speak to University of Michigan-
Flint students and faculty on Friday, October 17.
The public is also invited to hear Zaslow's
9a.m. keynote address at the annual Student Academic Success Summit in the Michigan Room at the University Center. -
CELEBRATING CAMPUS AND COMMUNITY COLLABORATIONS
The University of Michigan-Flint will showcase its many partnerships between campus and community, and celebrate work which has not before been showcased. Many of the projects will be highlighted during the Partnership Showcase to be held on October 16 at 6 p.m. in the UM-Flint Theatre.
