A BIG A-CAP-LISHMENT (Fall 2025 commencement photo gallery)
The University of Michigan-Flint celebrated its summer and fall graduates during the Fall 2025 Commencement, Dec. 14, at the Dort Financial Center in Flint. More than 1,000 students were eligible to participate. The day featured undergraduate and graduate students from the university's five schools and colleges. The event marked the return of UM-Flint to "The Dort," which last hosted the university's commencement proceedings in 2019 and was prompted in part to accommodate extended families, friends and community supporters at the larger venue. The ceremony featured several speakers, including Chancellor Laurence B. Alexander and Michael Behm, a U-M regent, who addressed the crowd of graduates and their guests via a recorded video message. Additionally, student speaker Angela Diemer, a psychology major from Climax, addressed the audience. Diemer is a Maize & Blue Distinguished Scholar, which is UM-Flint's highest academic honor.
