The Mid-Michigan Therapy Dogs visited the university's Frances Willson Thompson Library on Dec. 2 to help students pause – or "paws," as it were – during their final exam study sessions. The visit, the second of the semester, provides a relaxing break for both students and their four-legged friends. Animal-assisted breaks, such as these, have been shown to reduce stress and lower blood pressure, while also improving social interaction and communication for participants.
