The University of Michigan-Flint welcomed Laurence Alexander as the institution's new chancellor July 1. Alexander, the former chancellor at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, began the day meeting with various staffers and direct reports, touring campus with Donna Fry, dean of the College of Health Sciences and former interim chancellor, and getting his MCard before settling into his new office and getting to the business of running the downtown campus.
