From sports to peer mentorship, the University of Michigan-Flint has outstanding students who positively impact their contemporaries and the community.

Each year, UM-Flint's Department of Student Involvement and Leadership recognizes these contributions at Celebrating Wolverine Excellence. The event honors the individual students and organizations that exhibit exemplary leadership skills, engage with the campus and/or Flint community, problem-solve and develop new ideas or initiatives, while working toward a community that is inclusive of various identities and perspectives.

The students and organizations are nominated by members of the UM-Flint community. The university celebrated these students, faculty and organizations at an annual event and dinner, April 13, at the university's Northbank Center.
