UM-Flint has launched a campus water information website dedicated to keeping the university community informed about the safety of water on campus, as well as how the university is assisting the broader community response.

The website (umflint.edu/campus-water) is intended to collect and complement other campus communication efforts regarding water issues, such as the quality updates the Department of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) began sending in the Fall of 2014.

The site will be updated with the latest information as it becomes available, including campus water testing results and additional community resources.

The site also features filtered water locations on campus, information about how faculty, students, and staff can obtain water filters and replacement filter cartridges, and other frequently asked questions.

In an e-mail sent to the UM-Flint community, Chancellor Susan E. Borrego said this is a "campus of problem solvers."

"We are committed to making a difference in our students' lives and in our community," Borrego said. "As you likely know, Flint is facing a public health emergency with the water crisis. I want you to know that as an institution we are committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure the safety of our students, our faculty, our staff, and our campus community."
