The Outreach Faculty Standing Committee has announced the four faculty and staff members to be nominated for 2013 Michigan Campus Compact Awards.  The committee received nominations in each of four categories.

The nominees are:

Faculty/Staff Community Service Learning Award

Rebecca Pettengill  (Corporate and Foundation Relations)

Network Leader Award

Mona Munroe-Younis  (University Outreach program manager)

Campus-Community Partnership Award

Cathleen Miller, Ph. D., associate professor of accounting, School of Management, Flint Public Library, IRS Tax Preparation

Lifetime Achievement Award

Richard Hill-Rowley, Ph.D., associate professor, Department of Earth and Resource Science

"The decisions were not easy, as all those nominated are worthy of recognition for their hard work and dedication," said Elizabeth Callardey, chair of the standing committee. "I can also say with certainty that there are many, many more students, faculty and staff at UM-Flint who also deserve to be recognized for their commitment to civic engagement."
