To better accommodate the needs of the major student organizations, as well as the increased use of the LGBT Center and Women's Educational Center, office space has also been reassigned.

The Office of Student Life has reorganized and is changing its name to the Department of Student Involvement and Leadership (SIL).

The changes were recently outlined in an e-mail to campus from Michelle Rosynsky, assistant vice chancellor for student affairs. She says after a year of reflection and planning, the name change was made to more accurately reflect its programs and initiatives. The department serves as the umbrella for several areas:

  • – Student Clubs and Organizations
  • – Club Sports
  • – Leadership Programs
  • – Fraternity and Sorority Life
  • – Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution
  • – Ellen Bommarito LGBT Center
  • – Women's Educational Center

To better accommodate the needs of the major student organizations, as well as the increased use of the LGBT Center and Women's Educational Center, office space has been reassigned. The reassignments are as follows:

The Student Organization Center and Campus Activities Board offices: (formerly in 213 UCEN) are now located in the Student Loft on the 3rd floor of UCEN

The Greek Councils Office: (formerly by Clint's Café) is now in the Student Loft

The LGBT Center: (formerly 365 UCEN) is now located in room 213 UCEN

The Women's Educational Center (WEC): (formerly 359 UCEN) is now also located in room 213 UCEN

Fraternity and Sorority Life: remains in the Student Loft

The departmental office is in 361 UCEN, and is staffed by Patty Tracy, administrative assistant. For more information call 762-3431.
