Flint River Rises Through Campus
While melting snow and heavy rains caused flooding problems in many parts of Genesee County, UM-Flint was not one of them. The flood control project built by the Army Corp of Engineers that created Riverbank Park about three decades ago, kept the water away from campus and the downtown.
UM-Flint Named to Presidential Honor Roll for Community Service
The University of Michigan–Flint has been honored by The Corporation for National and Community Service with a place on the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for exemplary service efforts and service to America's communities.
