• Financing a College Education in a Challenging Economy

    The University of Michigan-Flint is inviting the community to learn more about how to finance a college education during the current economic crisis. A panel discussion on financing college will be presented Tuesday, December 2 in the Ballroom of Northbank Center beginning at 6 p.m.

     
  • UM-Flint Club at CGA National Championship

    As the saying goes, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas."

    The University of Michigan-Flint Golf Club took that saying and stood it on end, putting in a good performance and bringing back memories to last a lifetime.

    Participating in the first national championship event in school history, the linksters played admirably under adverse conditions at the Collegiate Golf Alliance National Championship Tournament in Las Vegas November 9.

     
  • What Students Are Saying About Their UM-Flint Experience in 2008

    An overwhelming number of students at the University of Michigan-Flint say they are satisfied with their overall educational experience. A national survey found that 85% of First Year students reported a favorable image of the university and 83% of seniors who responded would choose UM-Flint again if they could start their college career over.

     
  • UM-Flint Students Heading to Kenya

    Students in the University of Michigan-Flint nursing program have another opportunity to experience firsthand, health and medical programs in other parts of the world. Nairobi, Kenya is being added to the list of nursing destinations that already includes the Dominican Republic, Peru, and Cambodia. The first student/faculty exchange to St. Mary's Mission Hospital Medical College, School of Nursing in Nairobi is set for February 2009.

    The University of Michigan-Flint First Year Experience class takes a bike tour with Professor Steve Landon to some of Flint's most popular cultural attractions including the Farmers' Market, Kearsley Park & Whalely Historic House.

     
  • New Logo Marks Campus

    A new UM-Flint logo now marks the intersection of Kearsley and Wallenberg Streets. Two similar logos were placed at the crosswalk from Housing to MSB.
